THE THING IS that dean goes to the grocery store and all the employs know him. He goes to the deli and talks to the butcher about her ongoing divorce. he gets a foofy drink at the coffee bar (at first he would point to cas, [who was distracted by all the nick-nacks and mugs] and says it’s for the ‘ol ball and chain,’ cas looks him on the eye and says ‘dean, I don’t drink.’ But now he is comfy enough to order it without shame) and they talk about how the barrista is doing with her classes at the local collage.
Dean visits the pharmacy (‘your not as young as you used to be, Dean. You have to take care of yourself’ cas told him) and he and the pharmacist talk about Baby and how she’s holding up in this weather. The teenagers stocking the shelves all say “Hi Mr. Winchesters!” (They go to school with Jack)
Everyone knows him, and he finally has what he’s always wanted! He is apart of a community! He has a family!!
